Newborn memory book — a first year, one roll of film
Nobody takes more photographs than a new parent, and nobody looks at fewer of them. Use the 36-frame film roll for a compact keepsake, or choose more photos for the album views and make a sheet you can print, frame or hand to a grandparent.

Choose the whole camera roll
Months of photos at once is the point — you should not have to pick. They are read straight off your disk.

The roll is cut
Near-identical bursts collapse to their best frame, blurred ones drop out, and what is left is spread across the whole span so one sleepy afternoon does not take over the year.

Print it, or send it
Export a print-resolution image, or a PDF twelve inches wide at 300dpi — the height follows the length of the roll. Making it and exporting it are free.

- Are the photos of my baby uploaded?
- No. Reading the files, checking their dates, scoring them, laying out the pages and encoding the export all happen inside this browser tab. Your work is kept in this browser, which may clear its storage, so download a backup or the PDF to keep it.
- What is a newborn memory book?
- Traditionally a keepsake album filled in by hand over a first year. Here you can use the 36-frame film roll for a one-page developed roll, or select more photos independently for the album views and export a sheet that can go on a wall.
- I have thousands of photos from the first year. Is that too many?
- That is the case it is built for. Processing time and practical limits depend on your browser, device and file sizes. Bursts of the same moment collapse to their best frame, and the survivors are spread evenly across the months using the capture time your camera recorded, so the film roll covers the year rather than whichever week you shot most.
- Can I make one for each year?
- Yes. Each roll is built from whatever photos you select, so a first year, a second year, or a single month all work. Choose the photos for that period and give the roll its own label.
- My photos are HEIC from an iPhone. Will they work?
- HEIC support depends on the browser and device. If your browser cannot decode a file, it is counted and named as skipped; exporting it to JPEG first is the safer fallback.
- Can I change the order, or say something about a photo?
- Yes to both. Drag the thumbnails in the collection panel and every view — and the file you save — follows the new order. Click a photograph to see it large and write a line underneath it, which is printed in the photo book.
- What makes this different from an ordinary photo book?
- The birth details, the letter and the firsts. Fill them in and the book opens with a page naming your baby and when they arrived, a page carrying your letter, and a page of the things they did first. Leave them empty and you get an ordinary photo book.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Building the book, every view and the export are free.
